Rainforest Cafe Gurnee

Good service and good food. My kids loved this place. I highly recommend it. Suggest making reservations but we did get there early and only took 30 mins to seat 7 of us. I will definitely be going back. Was about 30 per person. That was with no alcohol.

Ate here around 7pm on a Monday night recently and had Mckayla as our "safari guide." She was absolutely fantastic and attentive- her good vibes added a lot to the experience! The animatronics from what I could see all worked and the thunderstorms that play weren't too loud that it was overwhelming. I had never been to a Rainforest Cafe and had been told the food is so so but the atmosphere is awesome. I have to say, everything we had was really great. We got the spinach and artichoke dip as an app, the strawberry lemonade drink with maraschino cherries (can't remember the name), the macaroni and cheese entree and the jerk salmon entree. All of it was delicious!! 10/10 would go again. The whole space was clean and it was super cute watching their birthday song (while we dined I think 4 different tables got a birthday dessert).

Our waitress was Karla. she was so sweet and kind. atmosphere perfect and fun for our teens, "a real life eye spy" they said. I got the Bimini Chicken, LOTS OF FOOD! had to take a whole chicken breast home. Girls got the fun drinks in silly cups. Recommend, def at an earlier time frame, we came at 11 and it wasn't busy.

A great stop on our mini staycation. My daughters really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was very good! Colleen was wonderful, best server I’ve had in a while. Very fun and engaging with my girls!

Jordan is fantastic! Such a sweetheart we’ve only recently been to this location twice in the past 3 years. Beginning of April , and now May and she remembered me and my kids! and they loved her last time, such a kid-friendly spirit. Food was great, service was amazing both times. I absolutely love Rainforest Cafe, this location is great. I have been here several times and always have an amazing experience. The staff is great, the location is kept clean and the food is really good from what I have had. The most recent time I visited with my husband for a dinner date after some shopping. I ordered the Korean lettuce wraps, and they were so good, exceeded my expectations. It comes on two separate plates, one with large fresh lettuce cups and 2 cups of sauce, the other plate with the chicken and fixings. The chicken was amazing, tangy, spicy and sweet. Everything was very flavorful. The combination of flavor from the slaw, topped with pineapple salsa, and peanuts work really well with each other. I really enjoy spicy food and would say it is slightly above mild spicy, but not bad, and it evened out with the other flavors. It is a lot of food, so I took half home and it was just as good as leftovers. I highly recommend this dish. I usually get the "Awesome Appetizer," which is what my husband got this time. He loved it and actually ate the whole thing. The dip is great, and the southwest egg rolls always hit. It's a great option if you can't choose what to get and want a good variety of items. I also got the strawberry lemonade. It comes with fresh strawberries, and you get 1 refill with the cost, as well as a light up souvenir cup. I really enjoyed it, I don't drink anymore and it was great in place of a drink with alcohol! Our server was incredible, his name was Michael, he was very knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, which I had never been, and it was really cool being under the stars. All the animals/animatronics were in good, working order. My favorite are the elephants and their flowy ears. Rainforest Cafe is always so fun, especially during the "thunderstorms". I think the prices are really fair when you consider the amount of great food you get, the experience, and with a lot of drinks you get to keep the cup! I have been to multiple Rainforest Cafe locations since I was a kid. I now take my 15 year old every so often, and have since she was young. This was my first time going on just an adult dinner, and it was just as nice. Rainforest Cafe will always hold a special place in my heart, and I don't think I will ever stop returning. This is a great location, and I highly recommend coming here with family, for birthdays, or even a fun date.

The staff here are awesome! Joesph (our server) took great care of us, even when a meal didn’t work out for my autistic daughter! The floor manager was also awesome and ensured we were having the best experience! Our visit was to celebrate my youngest daughter’s 18th birthday and she absolutely loved the entire experience, especially her desert and having the staff singing happy birthday to her. Even families surrounding us wished her happy birthday and a little girl even gave my daughter her own balloon! Even though this restaurant is on the pricey side (for some things), it is definitely a place to visit for a happy time.

Stopped here while taking a break from Six Flags Great America. The service was incredible! Joseph was our server and he did such an amazing job. Very professional and attentive. Thanks for everything Joseph!
